I just installed it on my XP computer - replying with it now. It appears
   the installation picked up my previous 1.5.x settings.

I don't do that much with Thunderbird on this pc though as I primarily use
Thunderbird on the Mac platform so there may be some reason to delay the
update of 1.5.0.x users that I don't see at first glance
