RS> BD> I'd RUN (not walk) away from the Windows NT 3.1... That

RS> BD> challenge.

RS>told from a few repair shops that with adding the win95 support it
RS>caused major problems with version 4. I'm running a 486-33
RS>and would rather run something for that class of machine. It's not a
RS>good sign when a company won't support an old version of a program.
Remember NT 3.1 was a very early release of NT, the first stable release
was 3.51 (and even that needs service pack 5). I'm running NT 3.51 SP 5
on 486SX/25s without problems.
Personally I can't get on with the "new, improved" Win 95 interface of
NT 4, so I've not got it loaded anywhere yet (It'll come, some of the
latest MS software will only run under Win 95 or NT 4).
MS are (unfortunately) a company who if you have a problem under an old
version of a program say (paraphrased):- "Sorry, that version is out of
date and we can't help. Upgrade to the current version and if the
problem still exists contact us again."
