There hasn't been any berating in this entire discussion from anyone.

He tried compiling, the instructions were wrong. We told him exactly what was
wrong with the instructions and the exact way to do it (which seriously takes
only about 10 minutes to compile all of the husky software). We can not do much
more than that when the help is refused. :(
