 If I may say so I think what Tom was saying is that TV is brain
 deadening, Roger. And it is. I don't care for TV myself. I don't
  watch it much at all. He wasn't talking, IMHO, about anyone here.
  I think he meant 'in general'..


 We pay way too much money for all this high tech stuff, and look what
is presented ON It mostly. Garbage. :( SOME good stuff yes, but way
too much .. advertising and now the FCC is looking into AD's embedded
into programs. Sigh!

Used to be you'd see a character drinking a can of soda but NOT see
the brand name. NOW they make a point of the viewer seeing the brand
name. Well that's not so bad .. I'd rather they did advertising that
way then with all those ridiculous and way too many commercial
breaks we all Tape the shows of so we can fast forward though. .

When my hubby turned ifty he decided he wanted a ifty inch HLCD TV and
we spent a lot of time looking for the right one and at a good price.
It took forever. I was SO GLAD when he finally got it. YEAH! No more
TV hunting. ahhh.

I must say though, the resolution is quite good. Even if there's
nothing good on. I like the Nature shows best... If I'm going to
watch. And then there's LOST which will be over next season.
