To add to my previous comment regarding the sad situation on the Galapagos
Islands, allow me to say this:

The Galapagos Islands are situated some 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador
in the Pacific Ocean. It is like being a world away. In my view, it would
have been better to never have allowed tourism to take root there. As a
result, greed is now destroying those strange and lovely isles, just like so
many other pristine places in the world where one can still sense the
presence of God.
