You know what cracked me up?


Several years ago the climate doomsdayers were spouting about the polar ice
caps disappearing! Polar bears dying left and right....


So in order to `prove' the point a bunch of doomsayers got on a ship and tried
to go to the South Pole to demonstrate the `disappearing ice' mantra.


Low and behold....they got stuck in the ice! They got stuck so bad they spend
weeks sitting stuck! Even ice breakers couldn't free them. They finally had to
be lifted of with helicopters and flown somewhere to be treated medically and
flown home. That might have been the Australian Navy that rescued the first
bunch.


Yeah.. that wasn't a misprint! I typed `the first bunch'! Because there was a
second such `ship of fools' either the same year or a year or so later! With
the same result!


You know ....I've often wondered how quickly some of this stupidity on the
part of people with high-end stupidity would disappear if the cost of risking
other lives, equipment and efforts to rescue them from their latest dumb stunt
were presented to them as a bill to be paid!


I suspect after a few dipwicks were charged the huge sums it costs to send
rescue sips, the loss of any equipment sustained in the rescue, not to mention
the salaries of the rescuers.....a lot of that stupidity would fade away!


Like a person who decides to `climb' a dangerous thing like `El Cap' and gets
stuck half-way up....after a few are charged the huge sums it costs for their
rescue (not to mention the life-threatening position the rescuers are
sometimes put in) A laot of that would stop also.
