JS>What do you think? 158gr JHP sounds a bit light in .357...
You're right about the 158gr bullet being light for ferral pig.
I use a 200 gr round nose bullet cast 60/40 soft lead and lynotype
and have had good results in ruining a pigs day.
I slow it down to about 1250 fps by using
14.8grs hercules 2400 and a magnum primer. Ferral Pigs are fun to
hunt but don't miss, these animals are faster than you think.
we had a man cut last year that almost lost his leg due to infection.
I can't keep my hands from sweating while hunting pigs since that
episode. Has'nt stopped me though. Another tip... use a head shot
if possible, pigs for some reason don't bleed fast. I've raised
them for the freezer and hunted them wild and a head shot works best.
