Flush with cold water only.. until the wound is clear. If the wound is
contaminated with debre, then you will have to wash it out with a very mild
solution of diluted betadine and water. However in studies they've found that
just hosing off a wound helps in cleaning the wound and cutting down
inflamation instead of using a caustic material that may cause or contribute
to proud flesh.

Nope, CJ is prong to proud flesh and the one time I used the stuff on a small
wound sure as can be.. it caused it. This was later confirmed in Equus per
the article that discussed the above.

Also keep on hand 20 cc syringes with 22-23 gauge needles (fairly thick and
an inch and one half).

Would work fine.. although if you ever breed.. a camera with sound would be
better... although that's a stiff ticket for just monitoring sound.
