JP>Wyatt, here's my fundamental phillisophical problem.
JP>I you, as a rational person, can reasonably forsee that IF you perform a
JP>certain act, that certain consequences will follow, and you choose to
JP>perform that act and those consequences do indeed follow, are you not
JP>morally responsible for those consequences?
In most cases yes, however when standing in the voting booth I am
choosing the person I wish to fill the office of the president.
this person is not Bill Clinton, this person is also not Bob Dole,
This person is Harry Browne therefore I will put my mark in the box
next to his name. Win or lose I have told America who I wish to
sit in the Whitehouse.
I have not voted for a person whom I feel will do dammage to the
structure and integrety of the office of the president of the
Unites States, undermine the Constitution of the United States
and deprive me of my birthright. It is my opinion that both
Bill Clinton and Bob Dole have already done this and will continue
to do so, therefore I cannot with a clear mind force myself to vote
for either of them.
JP>If I reasonably believe that voting for Harry Browne will help to
JP>re-elect the WORST anti-gun president in US history, and I vote for
JP>Harry Browne anyway, and Clinton does in fact get re-elected, am I not
JP>then as morally culpable as if I cast my vote directly for Clinton?
no re-read the above.
It is true that Billery is the worst president in history however,
like I said before He signed into law "Nothing" that did'nt have
"Banana mans" fingerprints all over it. the DOLE Metzenbaum bill
AKA Brady bill and the Asshole weapon ban and magazine ban would
never have made it to Billery's desk if it was'nt for "YOUR"
" great white hope" and his underhanded tactics and bold faced lies.
I would rather see this democratic vote-whore in total gridlock
for four more years than to see Your anti-gun Republican traitor
working with a free hand accomplishing what Billery could'nt
I also intend to send both parties my opinion by voting third
party with many others who think just like me
Most people I have talked to wish that a third party had a chance
to win but have'nt the guts to put their vote where their mouth is.
This year I will, and maybe with enough people like me a third party
candidate will have a chance to at least make people stop and think...
Who knows it might even wake up the other two parties and make them
realize that they can't keep walking on us and stay alive politicaly.
JP>I certainly wish it were as simple as you seem to think it is.
This is not simple. It's a lose lose situation we just need to set
things up so we don't lose any more than we have to.
either way we go we will lose we need to take the path that makes it
harder for the oposition to gain any ground at all, as I see it it's
the path that leads to Gridlock.
We need to strengthen the progunners in congress and drop Dole like
a hot rock to set Clinton up for massive gridlock and stop the process
alltogether for four more years while searching for the right candidate
for the 2000 election.
Clinton is and always was an anti-gunner however Bob "on the" Dole
*"stabbed us in the back"* and does'nt deserve my vote or yours for
that matter and if he's not elected he is Gone from politics for
good anyhow.
JP>Come November 5th, I will vote my conscience, as I'm sure you will also.
This is true...
