Ever make crocheted icicles?
LACE  ICICLES
Materials:
Crochet cotton:
    Small amounts of red or white
Steel crochet hook 10(0.75)
Pencils
Starch
Waxed Paper
Finished Size: Approximately 3 1/2 " long.
Note: To Make a Dtr: Yo hook 4 times, work lps off in same manner as a dc or 

tr.
Ch 36.
Row 1: Dtr in 6th ch from hook and in each ch across, Fasten off.
Note to make 4 1/2" Icicle, beg with ch 50, and rep.
Starch
Mix sloution of half water and half sugar.(Use hot tap water to dissolve
sugar.) Saturate crocheted strip in solution. Wind around pencil. Place strip
and pencil on waxed paper. When strip is dry and stiff, slip pencil out.
To hang ornament make loop through top with matching crochet cotton.
