Nick is a true friend who will do crazy things for you just because he likes
you. "You" as in not specifically yourself.
 
He has expressed an opinion, and while I do not share that opinion, we have no
problem remaining friends. Interesting concept, try it once.
 
At one point from my American friends I learned that opinions are like an
arse-hole ... everybody has one.
 
I think his opinion is wrong, but it's his opinion, not mine.
 
You could also tell him "Go get a life", but as it turns-out, that's just what
he's trying to accomplish.
