I've largely given up trying to explain myself on this; its basic science and 
not falling for the hysteria-of-the-decade. Especially hysteria that becomes a
trend or popularity statement or in need of a celebrity endorsement.

When that hysteria fails to catch on, something else is whipped up. Global
cooling, acid rain, the Amazon rainforests, humpback whales, global warming,
and now.......  tada, "climate change".

A generic euphemism that could mean anything. It sounds less nerdish than 
global cooling or warming, and can encompass/justify worrying about the 
icecaps, summer, winter, spring, fall, whales, the rainforests, bush fires,
capitalism (for some reason), my hairy ass, anything. Because climate change.
