Not for the biblical inerrantists and dominionists. According to them, once
you're saved, you're always saved no matter what you do and 'gods law' is
higher than anything else so as long as you claim you shot that abortion
doctor for god, you shouldn't even have been arrested for it.

How so? IF I go along with SHL to clean up  a roadway, it doesn't mean I
have to join their organization. Or I can stuff envelopes for HH without
being a member. Not that I'm necessarily doing any of those things, just
examples.

No. Because I'm not telling you what I do, when or where. I'm remembering
the poster here who, in December, would tell us that he'd be glad when the
holidays are over because he was so busy delivering food baskets and doing
all these things for his church and maybe he'd have a minute to breathe
once Jan. rolled around. Really resentful of having to do good works but
afraid of the reaction of his church if he declined to do them. People
might have been helped but doing it with a resentful heart isn't really a
good thing.

Well, short and sweet...Herb crossed out the 'so help me god' in the
application. Then had to fight for the next 7 years. He won in court 3
times and the state STILL refused to grant him the commission. The state
supreme court had to threaten to relieve a bunch of politicians of their
offices to finally make them 'see the light'.
