Top Fuel Driver Cory McClenathan to Drive NASCAR Truck at Irwindale (Calif.)

IRWINDALE, Calif., July 6, 2006 -- NHRA Top Fuel driver Cory McClenathan will
be going in circles again Saturday night, this time in a NASCAR King Taco
Super Truck on Irwindale Speedway's half-mile oval.

McClenathan, on hiatus from his regular job driving the Carrier Boyz FRAM
Boost dragster, competed in the truck series in 2001 when he was between Top
Fuel rides.

"I will be driving the Anderson Brothers' truck," said
McClenathan, who drove
an IMCA Modified racecar on a dirt track at Sedalia, Mo., two weeks ago. " I
am familiar with the truck series because I competed in it a few years ago. I
think the best way to describe this series is that rules call for everything
to be the same, from trucks to engines to tires. The only thing different
will be the drivers.

"It's a GMC truck and it will carry representation from all my drag racing
sponsors. I have a lot of family and friends coming out so it should be an
interesting evening."

McClenathan, a former Southern California resident now living in Lake Havasu
City, Ariz., returns to quarter-mile POWERade Series action at Denver, July
14-16.
