You are being fed misinformation. The LDS Church does not operate like
that. It is NOT a closed society and free will is a big part of our
beliefs. No one would harass a member to leave their spouse for religious
reasons. Women are encouraged to leave an abusive spouse for her own
safety, but not just because the husband is a non-member.

I know several people who are married to non-members and there is no effort
from the Church to split up those marriages.
