Concerning _Skeptic's corner._, RON TAYLOR said to TROY H. CHEEK in UFO:

First you'll have to get the lump removed. When searching for a hospital and
surgeon, read everything you sign VERY carefully. In some cases, before
surgery you'll be required to sign a release form stating that you understand
that anything removed from your body during surgery becomes the property of
the surgeon. I know this because a) I've seen some of the forms used at the
hospital I work for, b) my then-girlfriend's doctor said that he was breaking
the law by giving her the gallstones she'd just had removed, and c) a young
man once showed up at the hospital demanding the foot that had been amputated
the prior week so he could give it a proper burial.
Once you have the lump, where are you going to get it tested? I don't know
of any labs that work for free, and time under an electron microscope does
not come cheaply. Yada yada yada. :-)
RT> "...to each and every skeptic who questions them?". Certainly not, but
RT> if someone did question it, he'd have an opportunity to help me explain

Unfortunately, I've not seen any of the questioners offer to help out.
Nobody seems to want to donate lab time, money, research materials, etc.
They either want undeniable proof hand-delivered to them or they want to
write you off as a flake.

 RT>
RT> Sure. Skeptics, believers, and those that had never considered the
RT> question. There would probably be equal numbers of all of them. I know
 RT> that I'd certainly be there .
Well, then you and I are in agreement there.
RT> I don't know anything about "angel hair".... that would seem to be a
RT> good place to start for someone looking for physical evidence of ET.
RT> Again, it is truly a convenience for the believers that it completely
RT> disappears very shortly after being found... nothing to test.
A convenience if they're lying, but a big inconvenience if they're telling
the truth. If a sample could be collected and gotten to a lab which was
already prepared and waiting to study it, then observing the disappearance in
and of itself under controlled conditions would be a major milestone.
RT> Not discounting your experience as ordinary spiders at work, but I have
RT> no problem believing it was... been there many times.
For all I know, it was ordinary spiders at work. Like I said originally, at
the time I had heard nothing about angel hair and did not link it at all with
the UFO I'd been following through the area. If I had, I might have tried
collecting a sample.
RT> From what I've read and heard about Roswell, one man announced that

I've read and heard a lot about Roswell, too. What I gathered was that he
made the announcement under the orders of his immediate superior. I've read
conflicting reports about his later military career. Some say the
announcement was pretty much the end of his career. Others say he had a long
and fruitful career full of promotions and recommendations after the
cident.
RT> If nothing else, Roswell proves that officials should always keep their
RT> mouths shut until they know what they are talking about. The Roswell
RT> incident, IF NOT TRULY AN ALIEN ENCOUNTER, shows how one piece of

Agreed.
