Replying to a message of Matt Munson to All: MM> dog sitting is not that fun when you get the new dog trying to force MM> dominance on the dogs who regularly live at my place. I suspect that's normal behavior. My new arrival, Jake - a 40 ob chow/rottweiler/? mix, tried to assert some dominance over the group of (5) dogs that live in the house. Buddy, a 110 lb black lab mix, just ignored him and the others pretty much did the same thing. Jake has since learned that *I* am the dominant male of the group. I should note that Jake is the only one of (12) dogs (6 in the house and 6 in an outside kennel) that isn't neutered. That's going to happen when my tax refund comes in early next year. --- FleetStreet 1.19+* Origin: Bob's Boneyard, Emerson, Iowa (1:300/3) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 712/0 313 550 620 848 @PATH: 300/3 116/901 3634/12 123/500 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
