| subject: | Spring reverbs..... |
Hello Niels, >> I got given a dozen or so (new, still in their boxes, unsoldered) >> of those '60's spring reverb lines. Any ideas on some suitiable >> driver circuitry to save me the hassle of working out the details >> (like EQ, etc) myself? NP> yeah... Got circuits for quite a few of them. NP> Are they single or double spring setups ? Both types, 6 of each from memory. NP> What do you intend using them for???? Mainly guitars, and a little vocal work too, for the appropriate musical styles... NP> Do you want Transistor or Valve circuits :-) Transistor - I'll adapt them to IC designs. NP> I just need some time to do a search for the manuals and do some NP> photocopies. NP> Is there a Fax number to send them to ??? Hmmmm... I've got a Faxmodem, but never used the fax side of it. I wasn't really after exact circuits anyway, just an idea of impedances and equalisation values and the like, as I'll be using modern and familiar components... NP> I saw someone quote that they were only used with an Auxirally Reverb NP> Amp but that was mostly on the early Hammond Organ models. All the NP> in the Yamaha EM series PA mixers NP> (I KNOW where those manuals are) If you have got an exact model no, I can prolly chase up a circuit locally. It's only a sparetime thing - so no hurry to get this one finished! I'd have ditched the things, only that they are beautifully made (and must have cost a small fortune in their day) and it would be a shame to see them go to waste...
