CH> Gosh this is a fascinating topic. The last time I killed anything. CH> Let's all gather around and contemplate. RW> That wasn't the last time I killed something. That was the evening RW> before while we were climbing the back side of a mountain to camp on Mountains have a backside? Or maybe you mean the side that has the best trails on it? If you try Mt. Crested Butte for example you can climb any side but the South face, which is kinda very very steep... .......... RW> that slope so we'd get an early start on deer season in the valley Was there a lot of scree? RW> below the other side of the peak. The following morning as I sit in a RW> spot that overlooked that valley, my partner came clomping his combat RW> boots over the top and yelled, 'Hey Roy, where are you?"...I nearly RW> killed him but restrained RW> myself, remembering that he once said he'd never seen a live buck RW> during deer season. Now I knew why. Awe yeah I can empathize with this. Speaking of looking off to a valley and the Rocky Mountains beyond... I'll never forget my first time to CB, Colorado.. my bro took me on an early morning hike up a foothill (800Ft).. From where we sat at the top was splendor. There was Paradise Pass off to the West (we went up Mt. Baldy the next day)... It was so beautiful.. my eyes couldn't believe I was looking at the real thing and not the picture postcard he sent me once, of the same view. A view like that is so stunning who can speak but oh maybe somebody who is no longer stunned.... We didn't see any deer but there was a Natural spring you could still drink water from at the time. Me being a flat lander I couldn't get over this guy passing us by on the path transverse a grassy slope on our descent, riding a mountain bike.. UP past us. I was gasping for air as it was .. being thin air. (MY bro kept reminding me to breathe. Hey like Lamaze classes... ........................ CH> Now. When what was the last thing I killed. CH> uh. hm.. I think speaking for me, I think it was a fly. Yup. That one CH> last fly that would get into our kitchen in FW and and nothing would CH> get rid of it, not even a nopest strip... I finallly got it. CH> With a wet sponge. RW> It would have been a lot quicker and easier if you had used a fly RW> swatter. Nope. I Didn't have one on hand, Roy. And the fly wasn't about to wait for me to go get it. Besides whenever I DO have the swatter on hand the flies never show up. They're Texas flies you know. Smart! They don't even bother going near the no pest strip. hah! ....................... RW> Personally, I think a .22 revolver with snake shot loaded in it would RW> have been more fun. Hard on the kitchen walls, but a lot of fun just RW> the same. Why waste ammo when a wet sponge will do? Besides wouldn't that be like using a bazooka to kill an ant? Cindy ...
