Hi Jeannelou,
JT> Dear Ruth, I will try to get in touch with
JT> Rachel tomorrow. Yes there is an Old America here but if you aren't
JT> into framing, silk flowers or kits, they don't have much to offer. I
Hopefully you were successful in talking to Rachel. I need to either
call or write her and find out how their Thanksgiving dinner was. We
had a good time with some friends and family that she would enjoy
hearing about. I'll check out the OA in Tucson, hopefully it's better.
JT> futttt! There is however a very good store called Sweetstuff, that is
JT> exclusively cake decorating. It is on Popp's Ferry Road. There is
I'll have to let Rachel know about that one; I don't know how near it is
to the AF base or where she works.
JT> also a fairly nice [though small] craft store on Pass Rd.
Sometimes the smaller ones are the nicest. There was a little hole in
the wall one in Berlin that had supplies for just about anything I
needed. I'd browse a bit before getting what I came for, always
discovered something new.
JT> I have been down in bed with a bad cold recently [well, it's an
JT> excuse isn't it?] . Now i am up and so far behind that i am running
I understand about colds; sometimes they can get you down longer than
anything else. Just don't try overdoing until you feel better; I
usually try to overdo in catching up, then get behind again because I
can't take it.
JT> Thanks for asking, we had a fairly nice Thanksgiving with temps. in
JT> the 70s and sunny. None of the people we asked to join us were able o
JT> make it so Mr and Mrs Truitt ate alone.
We were clear and cold, after a morning rain blew over. I think we
might have gotten into the mid 60s, if that. Had dinner at a friend's
house with their family, a friend of ours (and theirs), my sister & her
husband & 2 boys. Plus, there were 6 cats at the house, most of whom
made their personalities known. Hit Wal-Mart yesterday for a printer
cable and found remnants half price so got one for a sewing project.
Catch you later,
Ruth
