... and some Copy Control schemes deliberately corrupt the imported first
session info so that the CDROM drive cannot access it. Most audio CD
players play the audio because they only read the TOC for the first
session. (The Red Book standard for audio CDs specifies that the audio
tracks must be in the first session.) My CD burner software (and, I assume,
some other burner programs) allows me to select which session on the CD to
open.

(I realise you likely know all that Glenn, I was just fleshing it out for
the peanut gallery.)
