-> "MaxTech", "AccuLAN", and "YES" rate on this totem ?
Maxtech, aka GVC - a good clone card, but just that. They work well
once you get them working, but figuring out whose chipset they used
that week can be a challenge.
Acculan - nevvah heard of them.
"YES"??? That sounds like the Novell logo - meaning that they have a
driver to work with Novell.
-> BTW: What are "AUI" connections ? And what are pro/con vs RJ45 &
AUI (aka 10base5, or thicknet) is good if you have to run a length of
cable up to 500 feet. If you only have to run the cable for a shorter
length (100-200 feet) then 10baseT (RJ45) or 10base2 (BNC/coax) are
easier to deal with. For starters, the cable's thinner so it's easier
to run through the walls.. :-)
