I'm pretty sure you can do it (somewhat) in MsgEd, all you need to know is 
the HEX value of the key-combination.. then you COULD make Alt-J jump to an 
areas list or something (I believe you can only assign keys to certain 
internal-commands). Then you'd likely also have to redefine the DEL key, and 
Alt-D I think will also delete.. Hmm.. It does seem like a lot of work 
doesn't it? ;>
