The rows on the floor that face the ring have been called the ringside
section in both boxing and wrestling for at least seventy years.
Back in teh fifties, the corner sections--like where we were--were
called "ring circle," if I recall correctly.
Oh, BTW, one guy there had a tee shirt that prominently displayed the
WWF logo; they gave him a free tee shirt to wear instead of it, and told
him that he was not allowed to wear the WWF logo shirt there. (I think
the shirt they gave him was an armageddon shirt.)
