subject: Any Borland C++ 5 users?

On (06 Feb 98) Tim Hutzler gibbered to All...
 TH> Hi y'all
TH> Anyone have Borland 5.02 installed? They said a typical instalation
TH> was 170Mb. I thought that was fat enough. I hit 300Meg! This is way
TH> beyond fatware. I had to drop the 16-bit Windows libraries so I could
TH> load it onto the system.
I bought the student version of the C++ v5.02 development suit and
couldn't believe how much room it takes up. For some strange reason
I've got problems compiling win32 applications also that nice debugger
will only work on win32. Easywin users have to make do with the dos
debugger. Not to mention the compile speed. It's a snail!
For some strange reason, when I bought v5.02 they included a cd copy of
v4.52 which is what I now use. Much faster and everything does what
it's supose to do and it only taked up approx 100 meg.
