Are y'all usin' VC++5.0 too?!
My dentist now uses microbead abrasion instead of drills and
offers both novacaine and nitrous oxide! How exciting...
But our discussion needs must transcend dental medications.
Incidentally, for those seeking an inexpensive starting point
for C programming. I have found that there is a Getting
Started in C package which includes the Standard versions of
VC++4.0 (for Win'95, 32-bit only) and VC++1.52, (Win3.x,
16-bit and DOS also I think). I found this entirely by
accident at my local Best Buy. [ Best Buy is an American
superstore for computer/electronics/appliances/music/etc. ]
The had it listed at $44. They also had another Getting
Started in Game Programming package which had Standard
VC++4.0 and libraries for sound and 2D/3D graphics, for
somewhere around $50. These packages should be available
elsewhere, I imagine, though prices may vary.
