I learned how to do some calculations in my head from operating one of
those hand crank adding machines.  I was surprised how easy it was.

Dunno, but my dad bought a slide rule and taught himself how to read it.  I
wish I had that rule.  I don't have a memento of his save for pictures of
him and my mother.

Yeah.  It used to be an Odyssey Fringe Science Research Echo until I got
tired of all that stuff and started printing Space Weather reports and NASA
updates when I took it over.
