Montoya ready waiting for Williams

(25-Jul-98) - Colombian Juan-Pablo Montoya says he is ready and waiting for
Frank Williams to sign him up to his Grand Prix team next year.

The current F3000 driver, who claimed pole for the Austrian Grand Prix
support race at the A1-Ring, believes he is more than capable of driving
for Williams in Formula One next season.

"Yes, I know I can do it," he said. "I just have to be a
little bit fitter but I feel that I can drive well and cope with Formula
One."

"Hopefully I am going to be driving the car, but that is Frank's
decision. He has said the team will announce their drivers in September, so
before that I don't know."

"I am not sure what the feeling in the team is. Frank is very serious
and he doesn't say a lot of words. We will have to wait and see what
happens."
