I'm inclined to agree, on a number of accounts. JMS really described the human experience and human relationships during Jeremiah, as well as exploring the dark side of human behaviour that can manifest itself more acutely in circumstances of social breakdown. Also, he covered a number of political issues: religious fundamentalists and war/ terrorism with the "Daniel" plot; plus the plot about Valhalla Sector and biological weapons experimentation (which may relate to the origins of HIV/AIDS and Ebola). When JMS completed Babylon 5, he expressed a sentiment of relief about the fact that he'd gotten it all out and that now he'd passed the burden on to the rest of us. I hope he feels more at peace and less burdened, but at the same time I hope he's also built his confidence that he can continue to do good with his work in more and more creative ways.
