MM> Was something wrong with their own? Which scene was this explained in?
I don't think it was explained in great detail, but remember, The era was
plagued with all sorts of uncurable ailments, parasitic, viral, etc..
Chollora (sp?) was at epidemic levels, durring the REAL 19th century.
With the outbreak of chollora, a few unexplainable deaths would be simply
passed off as also being caused by chollora. The aliens simply may've
thought their 'collecting' would go unnoticed, by being obscured by the other
chollora deaths.
I did a little research awhile back, of relatives of the Griswold
family.. I think in one instance, one of my relatives may've died from
some other illness, other than what was put as the cause, on public record.
Although listed as 'cereberal hemorage', it seemed a little unlikely, with
close to 12 to 13 other deaths, each way from theirs, Also attributed to
Cereberal Hemorage... I think it was more of a bored medical examiner,
who didn't know if it really was by stroke, old age, Heart Attack, or
something else.... seemed a little too rubber-stamped to me..

in Connecticut.)
