You're not one of these guys who mikes up bass amps are you??
If you use the pre-out from the amp, you will have much more control over the
frequencies. I don't know why anyone would ever want to mike a bass amp.
It simply sounds worse, and it make on-stage monitoring impossible.
I think it should be fine with a male voice.
