Our library recently got "on line." If you can do this, you can connect
with the library and even renew your books out automatically, via
computer! You talk about neat! I told the librarian today that soon I
wouldn't even need her!!!!!
I am now able to keep track of what books I have checked out and if it
gets close to due date, I can renew them myself over my modem.
I think there's other things I can do as well, but my time is limited to
checking it out...
Obviously, I can check the card catalog, make requests and comments all
via the comforts of my own home. Of course, I'll have to make the trek
to the library itself in order to pick out the books.

P.S. I'm hoping they'll put some magazines/newspapers, etc., on the
computer, so I can read them without having to actually check them
out...it would be great if the Tightwad Gazette were available that way.
