RS> Crescent is a brand. The first adjustable wrench RS>I ever saw was made by Crescent and Dad said "get RS>me a Crescent wrench" and I just accepted that as RS>the proper name for the thing. My Dad was a steam-fitter. When he had me go for a stillson wrench, I suspect that is how that slip-joint claw pipe wrench acquired its designation. Anyone one know how the "monkey" nut wrench got its designation?
