Hi Phil! You got it right. that is what is happening as if I look on the 
local screen of eleserv, I can see the msgs, but not on the telnet client, no 
matter what client I am using.

Okay I found it, here is the kicker. It worked if I logged on as another 
individual. If I logged on as myself, it would not work. so I deleted my 
account and rebuilt one. If using the above file you suggested it did then 
work. However, Just to test it, I went in and deleted those two files and it 
did not work. Put em back and it did. So it "MUST" have something
to do with 
Ele's msg headers, like you said.
