Well, I've acquired yet another dog, at least temporarily.  It's a neutered
male Rott mix named Jake.  Not nearly as big as a Rott but has the same
colors and fur, looks to be about two years old.  Tongue is black and pink.

Seems like a real nice dog.  His master's been taken very sick and is in
the hospital.  I dognapped Jake to make sure he's taken care of while his
master can't do it.  Jake normally lives on the end of a chain in the back
of a metal scrapyard on the edge of Red Oak, IA; all by himself, he gets
very little attention beyond food and water.  Right now he's on the end of
the same chain, but in the middle of my back yard with lots of nearby
company.  And getting a lot more attention than he's used to.  He's housebroke,
he slept inside last night because rain was forecast.  He gets along OK with
the other five 'house' dogs, although Buddy is taking a fairly dim view of the
new arrival.
