Probably the biggest advantages that WindowsNT offers over WFWG are that
it allows you to use NTFS (file-specific security rather than just share
level security),  requires a login to get to the files (again,  this
should be on a NTFS drive to protect all drives),  but more importantly
WFWG works in a workgroup mode where each computer has to maintain a
user database for each person who will use the computer - WinNT Server
has the ability to work as a domain controller,  where the management of
users is centralized.
Whether these apply to the individual situation is another story,
though...
