Not overly uncommon. Most people however aren't aware that they are

Being aware of spirits doesn't mean you are insane. It simply means
you are psychic. Too "psychically open" perhaps but non the less
simply psychic.

Committing suicide wouldn't do you any good. You would simply then be
in the same dimension as the person/s bothering you. A more
constructive approach would be to learn about, and then apply,
"psychic protection".
