IT'S HERE AGAIN!

For those of you just tuning in, these are the rec.sport.pro-wrestling.*
Year-End Achievement Awards.  They celebrate the excellence, as well as
the....opposite thereof, of the past year in professional wrestling.

The Awards are decided by the readers of r.s.p-w, voting for a 1st, 2nd,
and 3rd place in nearly fifty categories.  Believe it or not, this is our
THIRTEENTH year for the Awards.  The first six years were run by Herb Kunze
(hkunze{at}uoguelph.ca) - and by God, I've FINALLY passed him up!

Due to a lower-key hype job (no website hype this year, for you purists -
and thanks to Rick Scaia for not tainting the voting pool ;-) ) as well as
the fact that interest in pro wrestling is much lower than it's been in 
recent years, we received just under 100 ballots - we'll call that figure 
"lowish" but it sure made tallying go a lot quicker.

Thanks to my employer, XO Communications, for giving me so little to do 
that I could tally votes.

Thanks to ViNNY for pretty much singlehandedly moderating RSPWM while I 
worked on this.

Oh, and thanks to Kim for saying "yes" once again.  ;-)

Finally, I thank the readers of rec.sport.pro-wrestling.* who are always at 
the heart of these awards and make them what they are.  Thanks for 
representing the community, and see you next year!
