Reuters - Oil sped higher on Monday after Iran ended snap U.N. checks of
 its nuclear sites and said it was resuming uranium enrichment, sparking
 fears it might ultimately withhold oil exports.

    Toshiba agrees to buy Westinghouse for $5.4 bln (Reuters)

Reuters - Japan's Toshiba Corp. (6502.T) has agreed to buy Westinghouse,
 the U.S. power plant arm of British Nuclear Fuels, for $5.4 billion to
 bolster its position in the world's resurgent nuclear power industry.

    Humana posts higher quarterly profit (Reuters)

Reuters - Health insurer Humana Inc.  on Monday reported higher
 quarterly profit as enrollment in its Medicare health plans grew.

    Lafarge plans $3 bln buyout of US unit (Reuters)

Reuters - France's Lafarge said on Monday that it planned a $3 billion
 cash offer to buy the 46.8 percent it does not own in Lafarge North
 America Inc., in a move to streamline its operations and enhance its
 earnings.

    AIG near huge settlement with regulators: reports (Reuters)

Reuters - American International Group Inc. , the U.S. insurance giant,
 was said on Sunday to be close to reaching a huge settlement with U.S.
 regulators to resolve accounting fraud allegations, the Wall Street
 Journal and the New York Times reported.

    Forex unlikely on agenda for G8 finance ministers: Japan MOF
     (Reuters)

Reuters - Foreign exchange, including the Chinese yuan currency, is
 unlikely to be on the agenda for a meeting of Group of Eight finance
 ministers later this week, a senior Japanese Finance Ministry official
 said on Monday.

    Stock futures inch up, helped by global markets (Reuters)

Reuters - U.S. stock index futures rose slightly on Monday, pointing to
 a higher market open, boosted by strength in overseas markets and an
 improving view of major North American aluminum companies.

    Talbots close to $450 mln J. Jill purchase: report (Reuters)

Reuters - Women's clothing retailer Talbots Inc  is close to purchasing
 J. Jill Group Inc  in a deal that could be worth more than $450
 million, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, citing people
 familiar with the matter.
