Subject: [ crochet ] TISSUE COVER PATTERN
Here it is again. You can change it up all sorts of ways - adding a
contrast trim and so forth. It's quick!
Here it is. However, I just noticed that the last two packages of purse
size tissue I bought opened at the END, not in the middle. This pattern
is for one that opens in the middle (if they still make them!)
4 ply yarn
G hook
Chain 20
Half double crochet in 3rd chain from hook
Half double crochet in each chain to end
Chain 2, turn
Half double crochet, yada yada yada
Make total of 18 rows and finish off
Fold edges together, meeting in middle, wrong side out
Whip stitch short ends
Turn right side out
I like to make some roses and tack them on as trim - they are pretty in a
baby yarn like Jamie
With D hook and baby yarn, chain 24
Double crochet in 4th chain from hook
Chain 2
*Skip a chain
Do 3 double crochet, chain 2
Repeat from * to end
You can gather like petals of a rose and tack to top of tissue cover
Make a second rose smaller
This are very quick to make and make nice teacher/co-worker gifts.
Pretty also in Christmas yarns. Let your imaginations go!
