Sounds like classic ICK. Easily treated and most fish should survive it.

Either something other than ICK or you actually overmedicated by accident.
Some medicines are toxic and require you remove 1/2 the water after 24 hours
or so. if you left it in, that may have been it.
The only time I have had *all* the fish die overnight, was when I had a
waterheater that burst and electrified the tank. I have never used one
since. (Dont need one with goldfish).
