Sure it is . . . but its working on us right now.  It's been working since
the time of the Greek Empire.  That's where Herr Hegel got it from.

Where do people get their criteria for picking & choosing?  The globalists
own & control the media.  They don't control everybody & everything . . .
they don't have to.  Globalists control the mechanisms to set the trends. 
The sheeple fall in line.  They vote for the "lesser" anti-gunner.  They
accept the anti-gun "compromise."  The sheeple pick & choose from the
choices that are framed for them.  Don't say it isn't happening because it
happens every time.  If it wasn't happening we could still buy new manuf
machineguns, AP ammo, & magazines.  The sheeple don't just _automatically_
settle in the middle of the "extremes." A lot of effort, planning & money
is expended toward that goal.  You don't see it because you don't want to
believe you have been used all these years.  Mainly though, its comfortable
being in the media's designated opposition in-crowd.  Anywhere you look,
you can find a whole flock to agree with you.  All say the same
thing because they heard it from the same place.
However, the real clincher is that in the conflict of opposites, both
"extremes" are most often really two versions of the same warped side. 
That way, when the sheeple settle for either extreme, or anywhere in
between, we all get shafted!  For example, take the Klinton/Dole
"opposites."  One "extreme" penned the Brady Bill (formerly the
Dole/Metzenbaum Bill) with his own hand & rammed it through the Senate with
only 3 Senators present.  The other "extreme" signed it into law as fast as
he could find a pen.  What does it look like is going on, to you?  I smell
a dog-&-pony-show . . .  Regardless of which of the 2 Fascists gets
elected, the globalists grab more of our guns, time after time . . . . . .
The only way to break this deadly trend is to vote only for pro-gun people,
every time.  Too simple to be effective?  There are "only" 70,000,000 of us
gun owners!  I get so dadgum tired of hearing, "_This_ election is just so
important that we all _have_ to vote anti-gun just one more time."
