Me either, but it seems that's forbidden also....

That's how it used to be and I can't really say for sure I'm in favor
of it. There must be some standards observed if children are to go on
to college, certain courses have to be taught if the student's are to
continue in a different system. Also, what about moving? Suppose my
school system teaches first year algebra in 7th grade and my child
finishes 6th grade and then transfers to a system that teaches it in
sixth grade? How can he catch up? The idea would have to include
some nation wide standards, I think....
