Ben, I just used WinPatrol. My XP Limited User Account didn't show any tasks scheduled, but when I clicked Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Scheduled Tasks I saw Adobe Flash Player Update and Panda USBVaccine in the list. I switched to the XP Admin account and saw the same two Tasks in the list. When I used WinPatrol in the Admin account it showed me three others: Avast! Emergency Update, MP Scheduled Scan (Windows Defender), HUB Task 0 (a bunch of hex codes).job After viewing the info on Adobe Flash Player Update I decided the next time FortKnox gives me a alert about it I will Check the box to remember my setting and Click on the Yes button. While I was preparing this message it appeared so I Did That. That Hub Task Zero thing is for Sonic DVD Plus mediahub.exe file dated in 2005. It isn't scheduled to run, but every time I quit using the Sonic program I always get 3 pop-up windows that I have to click OK on before I can see the Desktop. Now I know why I'm seeing those 3 windows about a Error in MediaHub. Maybe I ought to Disable or Remove it from the Scheduled Task list. Another thing associated with Sonic is an InstallShield Program Updater that appears whenever I use the Admin account and sometimes I see it in the Limited User account, but it never has given me any updates for Sonic DVD Plus. AH!, Computers Are Fun!!!!!!!!!!!!! I looked at GRC.com for NetBios information and learned about MS's use of Ports 137-139 and 445. Interesting stuff! Also used ShieldsUp! and the results were All Ports Are STEALTH. * SLMR 2.1a #T348 * When you get there, there isn't any there anymore. --- SBBSecho 2.12-Linux* Origin: telnet & http://cco.ath.cx - Dial-Up: 502-875-8938 (1:2320/105.1) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 620 848 953 @PATH: 2320/105 0/0 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
