subject: 32 mb not enough !

 GT> Hi Wes,
 GT> 96 meg !?!, are you running a TX type motherboard ?
i430VX for a short time more. Waiting for the 100mhz FSB boards to come out
in a week or so. Got my eye on a FIC V503+ (MVP3 chipset).
GT> 14 meg diskcache !?!, is that for a fat format drive ?
Yes. C D & E. Each 2.1 gig partitions.
GT> or the cache command in config.sys ?
GT> cache would only allow me 4 meg max !?!
Hmmmm... Docs state that 2MB is the limit for the HPFS cache?
GT> At the time I got the out of memory error message
GT> I was only trying to
GT> access the system object to see the display properties.
Strange.
GT> I'm using 32mb ram and 850mb which is partitioned
 GT> into 3, 250mb,60mb,500mb.
GT> The 60mb partition is the swap drive.
I never had a problem with 32meg, or even 8 meg as for as that goes, other
than it was pretty slow on the old 486 with 8 meg. I've got at least 2 nodes
running in the background at all times, sometimes 3. The only reason I got 64
more meg was it was cheap, and I'm going to use it on the new MB when I get
it and leave 32 meg on this one.
