If you do get the cold or the flu, you might want to remember an Isreali
remedy. And no, I'm *not* talking about chicken soup this time. The
Isrealite government hired some medical personnel to come up with a
remedy for colds and flus that they could use in their military to
shorten the length of the illnesses, especially in their air force
pilots. They came up with a formula that is sold in health food stores
in this country (and used all the time in their military). It's sold
here as sambucol-C, and contains, among other things, elderberry bark.
I've tried it. It seemed to work for me. It is not, however,
approved by the FDA; and so I am, of course, only mentioning it in
passing, and not recommending it.
