LP>You know, I totally neglected to say that. You know why? I think in AZ
LP>we have come almost to a mind set of being resigned to it happening.
LP>The US southern border is just too immense to be policed effectively.
LP>Short of employing thousands more INS officers, installing electric
LP>fences for thousands of miles with motion sensing machine guns every 50

identification
LP>CB> when hiring, it would go a long way to stopping the flow of illegal
LP>
LP>Supposedly, the Immigration Act of 1986 already addressed this.
LP>Employers are all briefed here about the procedures & forms to use.
But, if Tom is right, the immigrants are no longer stopping just inside
the border to work -they are headed inland, to places like Arkansas, to

LP>Ooooh, I could make a whole 'nuther thread there. I have a problem with
LP>spending $16,000/year to educate one child who will require managed care
LP>until death & only $2,500 on others with the potential to become high
LP>earning taxpayers (but don't because the funds for their education is
LP>spent to teach the 1st kid to get dressed. [Ducking.])
What you suggest is not politically correct, but it IS a reasonable
question to ask. Where is the equity for Joe Average? How could that
funding be best spent for the greatest good?
And I promise - no more remarks that make you look liberal.
