I have been breeding anglefish over the summer. I take the eggs out
of the filter tube, or whatever they spawn on, and put the whole
thing in a different 20 gal tank. In the 20 gal tank, I have water
from other tanks. The temp, ph, hardness ect. are the same. I add two
dropps of methelene blue per gallon, and have an airstone near the
eggs, but not right on the eggs. Most of the eggs turn white, and I'm
only avereging about ten survivors per spawn. I feed them live baby
brine shrimp three times a day as soon as they are free swimming.
They survive very well from this point on. Does anybody have any
ideas as to why most of the eggs turn white, and don't hatch? Thanks
for any replys.
MIKE............
BTW They have spawned 4 times so far with the same results.
