subject: Equipment

Steve, this past weekend I dove in the gulf about 50 ft of water and
came upon a wonderful reef out in the middle of a desert.
As my dive partner suffered equipment failure, I tried to maintain the
location.
What i would request is comments on ways to keep from losing a location,
as this was the outcome.
I am sure I can create some sort of inflatable with a cord on it, but
was wanting to know of some products that might aid as I intend to find
it again.
And if you read this (Charlie), plans are for Sun. So get back to me if
you are interested.
By the location of the boat I was about 50 yards from the boat.
We have the Loran numbers and bearings for were I surfaced but somebody
said something like Loran accurcy not being the greatest.
Comments on Loran vs GPS would also be invited.
Ok start hitting those keys
Thanx Stan (Droopy)
