Well, Bud. I spoze that is true for most. But I seem to
be seeing more permissiveness as time goes on. after
all, the 'other machines' are almost all Macs, which I
believe, can install an IBM font easily enough. After
all, the Mac's marvelous graphic capability should, I
would think, include that relatively trivial task.

So what does that leave? Atari? that machine is not
stuck in text mode either is it? What other machines
are there, and how much accomodation must the rest of
us make for the benefit of aesthetics on such a small
number of systems?

Inasmuch as hi ascii is the choice of the moderators,
our opinion is rather moot. So, the question rides on
the participation of the posters, many of whom seem
to make use of hi ascii doodles in signatures. I dare
say that there are more posters who do this, than are
using other machines that cannot view them.

Now, if I could just figure out which of the 256 ascii
might cause problems with mail tossers or any other
BBS software, I could design the most efficient set
from among the remaining.
